Dr. Jack E. Thomas, Ph.D., HSPP

Dr. Thomas has practiced Clinical Psychology for over 25 years. He is Professor of Psychology at Martin University. Dr. Thomas is also Director of Clinical Development. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University. He completed an internship at Hines Veterans Administration Medical Center in Chicago. He is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist. Additionally, the Indiana Psychology Board has certified him as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP).

Dr. Thomas is a Medical Advisor to Federal Administrative Law Judges and he is an active approved federal contractor. He has held faculty positions at Indiana University, Ball State University, and for the last 17 years at Martin University. At Martin he currently teaches Community Psychology, Counseling Ethnic Minorities and three Clinical Supervision Classes.  He has taught Ethics, Test and Measurement, History of Psychology as well as other courses. He was Director of Martin’s Education and Health Center.  Dr. Thomas is currrently Director Clinical Development for the Community Psychology Program. Dr. Thomas is past President of Midtown Community Mental Health Advisory Board (Wishard Hospital). He served on the Board for five years.  Dr. Thomas has been a Hospital Administrator, New Castle State Hospital where he served on Executive Council and as Director of Professional Services.  He has expertise in a number of areas. He is trained in Behavioral Medicine and differential diagnosis.  He completed clinical training (rotations) in neuropsychology, rehabilitation medicine, spinal cord injury, alcohol addiction and general medical consultation (MASH team). In clinical practice, he is a medical advisor to courts/ judges and he evaluates/ treats children, adolescents, and adults. He is an HSPP consultant to clinicians and corporations.
