What I Really Enjoy About My Field

I really enjoy helping persons across all ages, races, genders, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations who are experiencing emotional distress, cognitive diseases and other psychiatric phenomena that promote unhealthy outcomes. In my chosen field, I have yet to come into initial contact with someone on their best day, so I highly value the trust placed in me and the awesome responsibility that it entails. There is no bigger joy for me than employing all my education, training, and clinical expertise in empowering others to achieve successful outcomes.

My Achievement Story in Brief

Seeing the effects of untreated mental illness first hand played a major influence in my career choice. Schizophrenia, Depression, and Bipolar disorder are prominent in my family. I didn’t know what these diseases were at the time, however I knew something was not right with the behaviors of many of my family members. I wanted to be able to understand, help and alleviate their suffering.

The Biggest Challenge(s) Students Face

The biggest challenges students face are time management, and the willingness to commit themselves to excellence by sacrificing immediate short term pleasures for long term benefits.
